Letters to Everett: 3/22/13

Dear Everett,

You are 22 months old!  It is so hard to believe that in just two short months you will be turning two years old!  Although there are often moments where you like to test me, I have enjoyed every single minute of the past 22 months!

This month you have really started to show us your personality a lot more.  You love (love) love cars, trains, and anything with wheels.  One of your favorite things to do is to push your cars across the floor and crash them into things!  It is really fun to watch your little imagination at work.  Your daddy taught you how to "cheers" drinks but you really enjoy "cheers-ing" everything from cars to forks to cups!

You are talking more and surprising us with the words you know!  You still point and grunt like a caveman but we are trying to teach you the words for the things that you want.  We are learning animal sounds, colors, numbers, and letters.  You like to sing but I think the only song you remember is part of the alphabet song, so you repeat the letters  "Q, R, S" a lot! :)
We took you to a Caps game this month and you LOVED it! You really enjoy watching sports and cheering on mommy and daddy's favorite teams!

Another thing that you love is when people react to smelling your feet.  You will laugh so hard that your face turns red!  You really get a kick out of it and so do we!

Here's what you've been up to this month:
  • Started singing "Q, R, S" when we sing the alphabet song
  • Leaned the sign for grapes, horse
  • Like to growl and "scare" people
  • Like to buckle yourself into the carseat and get mad if we do it for you
  • Your favorite thing to do is "cheers, cheers, cheers"
  • Started calling the baby "Cookie"
  • Went to your first Caps game
  • Switched to size 5 diapers

Here's the new words you've been saying:

  • yuv (love) you
  • ter-tle (turtle)
  • Gaht (Scott)
  • oh oh ah ah (monkey)
  • whale
  • bubble
  • hun-hee (honey)
  • coh-key (coffee)
  • flower
Momma and daddy love you to the moon and all the way back!

  1. That is so cute. E also loves to "cheers" everything and she loves making us smell her feet and shoes. That's hilarious they both do that!
