Daily Happenings: 05/30/13

Today was my second full day of being alone with the two kiddos and so far it is going surprisingly well. Everett has had one or two meltdowns- mostly due to a lack of napping but overall he is doing pretty well with the adjustment.  Nolan is still sleeping a lot so it makes all of this manageable, for now.

Today was the first time we ventured out of the house to run an errand.  Can you guess where we went? Target, of course!  :)  I had a few things that I needed to get and I can always go for Starbucks so off we went.  I have given up dairy because Nolan's stomach is always in knots so I opted for my usual caramel frapuccino but with soy instead of milk.  I was nervous that it wouldn't be as delicious as the original but it was better! Winning!  All in all the trip to Target was a success, no meltdowns, explosions, or changes of clothes were required.  Double winning!

After we got home from Target we ate some lunch and then went outside and played with our neighbors in the swimming pool and water table.  The kids had fun and it was nice to chat with an adult! :) Everett loves to be outside so he had a blast.  He likes to find rocks and put them in the water table!

I have a cool wicker basket type bassinet that I take out with me when we are outside that Nolan lays in.  The cicadas have been terrible here lately so I have to cover the top of it with cheese cloth so they don't try to land on him.  Check out Jedi "guarding" him!

That's what we've been up to so far today! What have you been up to?

  1. If he still has tummy troubles, don't fret. Anna couldn't have soy either so I've been drinking almond milk instead. It's so yummy :)

  2. I work as a full time nanny. Now that it is hot out we do whatever we can that revolves around water!
