Daily Happenings: 5/6/12

Someone did not want to wake up this morning and his name starts with an E.  He was stirring all night and did not get comfortable until 6 o'clock this morning.
Tired baby!
After we coaxed the little guy out of the bed we got ready and headed out to one of our favorite places; our church, Mount Ararat in Stafford, Virginia.  We love going there, it has definitely become like a second home for us.

Pastor Todd kicked off a new series this morning, "Some Assembly Required."  Tyler and I both really liked it and are looking forward to hearing the rest of the sermons in the series.

"We are a part of something big!  We are a part of something that can change the world!  We are a part of the Church!  In Matthew 16, Jesus tells his disciples that he will “build” his Church and the “gates of hell will not prevail.”  Jesus is still building his Church, and the gates of hell will not prevail!  Not only are we a part of what He is building, we actually play a role in making it all that Jesus intended.  Each of us has something to offer.  Each of us has a part to play, and just like any building project, the Church has some assembly required. " From the Mount Ararat website.

After we got home from church Everett's "Church Grandma" Sonja and "Aunt" Tonya came over for a visit.  Everett had fun playing but tuckered out and took a nap with PigPaw!  This gave me the perfect opportunity to give Mowgli a much needed haircut.

Somebody got a haircut!
This evening we are heading out to the Washington Nationals game versus the Philadelphia Phillies- it is Everett's first baseball game! We are going with our friends Angelina and Walter from church.  I will have a full recap including pictures tomorrow! Stay tuned!
